Shrimp Alfredo Recipe

Ingredients
For the Shrimp:
• 1 lb large shrimp (peeled & deveined)
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• ½ teaspoon garlic powder
• ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 tablespoon butter
For the Alfredo Sauce:
•3 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 ½ cups heavy cream
• 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
• 1 cup pasta water (reserved from cooking pasta)
For the Pasta:
• 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
• 1 tablespoon salt (for boiling water)

Cook the Shrimp:
• Season shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
• Heat olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat.
• Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
• Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cook the Pasta:
• Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
• Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente.
• Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Make the Alfredo Sauce:
• In the same pan used for the shrimp, melt butter over medium heat.
• Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
• Pour in the heavy cream and stir. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
• Lower the heat and gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
• Add salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
• If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.

• Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
• Return the shrimp to the pan and gently mix.
